Two Injured In Overnight House Fire

Fond du Lac, WI:  On Saturday August 27, 2016 at 2:00 a.m. FDLFR responded to a report of house on fire at 313 E. 2nd Street.  Upon arrival crews encountered heavy fire conditions in a second floor bedroom. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire but not before it caused  damage to the structure and its contents.  The Red Cross was called  to provide shelter assistance to the residents. Alliant Energy was called to the scene to secure gas and electrical service.  FDL Police assisted with on scene management and traffic control.  A MABAS Box Alarm was called to bring assistance from neighboring departments.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  There were two victims taken to the hospital for evaluation.  Video and still pictures are available on FDLFR social media pages.
