du Lac Home—No Injuries
Fond du Lac, WI:  On February 17, 2014 at 11: 05 a.m.  the City of Fond du Lac Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 261 Third St. Upon arrival fire companies encountered heavy fire conditions on
the first floor of the 2-story wood frame residence.  The occupants were able to safely exit the structure along with their pets and called 9-1-1.    Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, but not before it caused extensive damage to the contents and interior structure.   The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but the fire doesn’t appear to be suspicious.    Fire and Police investigators are looking at an electrical problem as a possible cause.  There were no injuries reported.   Alliant Energy was called to the scene to secure utilities.  The FDL Police assisted with traffic and scene control.  The Red Cross was also called in to assist the homeowners.  The Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department was called to the scene to assist.
