Firefighters Quickly Extinguish House Fire

Extinguished Fond du Lac, WI –  On June 13, 2013 at 9:55 p.m.  the FDLFD was dispatched to 111 E. Johnson St. for a report of a structure fire.  Upon arrival firefighters found a fire which started on the outside of the house and burned up the outer wall on the Northeast corner of the house. The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before it caused moderate damage to the siding  and refuse containers.  “The resident had an outside fire pit burning in the back yard,
but not in close proximity of where the fire broke out", said Fire Chief
Peter O'Leary.  The cause of the fire in has not yet been determined and is under investigation.  There were no injuries and the residents were able to return to the residence.  The FDLFD were assisted by the FDLPD. Photos are available to the
